In the end, it may be best just to fly into Bordeau. Ryan Air into Bergerac is great if you're British, but coming from the US it means you probably have to spend a night in London and at a minimum, you'll have to transfer from Gatwick to Stansted airport (about 2 hours apart).
Flights to Paris are much cheaper, but then you have to pay $150 round trip for the train. And transfer all of your bags to a cab to get to the train station.

carrying on the conversation, that was going on over email, Meghan, the flight you are looking at is 13.5 hrs to Paris, but after the $150 train ticket, and a duration that adds +3.5hrs of train ride, plus waiting for the train, etc. etc.
As for Joe's comments about intl flights from LA to Bordeaux, doesnt' the concorde fly that route?
Megan just found a flight from Seattle to Paris for 1150...10.5 hours of flight time...what do you think of that?
Is it at all possible to move France closer to the West Coast of the US?
